Oakleigh Siblings Drama Group

During the February half term holiday 6 siblings of children at Oakleigh School (aged from 6 - 11 years old) attended our Siblings Drama activity day.

It was lovely to welcome two new members, who were warmly absorbed into the group by our friendly regular attendees. It was also great to introduce two new members of staff who helped to run the day; Sophie Oakleigh’s Music Therapist and Sheila an LSA in Yellow Class who has lots of experience running Drama workshops.

Update on our Playground Project

Completed playground project

Tesco Bags of Help logoWith the Tesco Bags of Help grant, we were able to lay synthetic grass in the whole of our Infant Playground. This has ensured that our pupils have had access to this play area throughout the Winter and into the Spring, without worrying about boggy areas, slippery mud, or uneven ground surfaces.

Think! Education - Early years and Primary - Parents - 7-11s - Be Bright, Be Seen

On the 25th November 2016 Oakleigh School held our first annual 'BE BRIGHT, BE SEEN' day.

The purpose was to promote awareness of how important it is to be visible when out and about now the days are getting shorter. The day was a great success, with children and staff all getting involved, sporting bright colours and beaming smiles.
