Barnet Early Years SEND Advisory Team is a newly formed team based at Oakleigh School. We are a specialist early years advice and intervention service. Our role is to support pre-school children who live in Barnet and who are likely to have Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We support children at home and in their early years settings, up to the point when they start in a school setting. Our role also includes supporting Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) early years settings to include and support all children with SEN. The service runs in school term time (38 weeks).

We want to expand our administrative support team at this exciting time for the service and are looking for a Clerical Support to join us as soon as possible. We are looking for someone who can provide efficient and effective administrative support to help us to deliver a high-quality service.

The successful candidate will have good organisational skills and a good working knowledge of office management tools such as Word and Excel. You will be conscientious, reliable and enthusiastic. You will have good communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and work as an important part of the team. A good sense of humour helps as well!

Main duties:

  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks such as typing of letters and minutes, corresponding with families and settings
  • Scanning and electronic filing of records of children and settings
  • Answering office phone, answering queries and delivering and receiving messages
  • Support the work of the team with settings. This will include keeping up to date contact information, supporting the administration around our training and targeted work offer to settings
  • Support with collection and dissemination of information required by our wider partners and the outside agencies we routinely work with

We can offer:

  • A positive work environment within a well-led, committed team

If you would like to:

  • Share our unique vision
